The EU would impose 12.2 percent of Russian imports of aluminum foil of provisional anti-dumping duty
According to Brussels, July 4 news, the EU communique said Saturday Russia would import aluminum foil anti-dumping duties, because the preliminary investigation showed that aluminum foil sold in the EU below the normal market price.
The communiqué said that from Sunday to levy 12.2 percent of Russian imports of aluminum foil of provisional anti-dumping duties. These are the world's largest aluminum foil producer - Russian aluminum production.
Provisional duties will continue for six months, when the European Commission will complete its investigation, the final result may be formally implemented tariffs, taxation period of five years.
Rusal said in a commentary the message will continue to cooperate with the European Commission to complete the investigation.
Rusal also expressed the hope that when the end of the investigation, "we consider our position, can be reduced or canceled anti-dumping duties."
